How do I know what my risk for cardiovascular disease would be? It's really interesting because we ourselves use risk scores so there's a lot of different risk calculators on the system that help us identify what an individual's cardiovascular risk is and that is based on all of the risk factors we've discussed and so if you fall into any of those categories like having high blood pressure, like having high cholesterol should know your cholesterol, you know, pretty much anyone over the age of 40 should have a vague idea what cholesterol is. If you, if you do know, if you do know that you're at increased risk, diabetic patients, of course, especially should know their cardiovascular risk, people with a family history, again, all of the potential at risk patients should be thinking, you know, I am more at risk than the average Joe and I need to get some form of assessment, Be that just a simple cholesterol test or simple ECG or something like that. That's a form of risk assessment. The other form of risk assessment is going for a jog. Go for a jog, see what your symptoms are. Are you able to cope with it? If it's the first time you've done it out of the blue, of course, you're going to be a bit breathless. We would expect that. But if you're able to build up that strength over time without any problems, again, that's great. That's what we'd be looking for. And again, it helps show us that you're not at particularly high risk. But those are the things that you should be thinking about in terms of risk assessment for yourself. These are the flags that I should raise in my mind. Do I have any of these predisposing factors? Because, you know, why wait until you've developed coronary disease to address it? You want to get in there early so you can drive your risk down yourself and knowing actively what your cholesterol is, knowing actively what your blood pressure is. Again, if you're over 40 you should have a vague idea of what your own blood pressure is. Know that it's, you know, sitting around 120 and not sitting at 140 or something like that, those things are really important. Take control of yourself basically.
