What is HIPEC surgery?

Mr. Murphy, can you tell us about HIPEC? What is HIPEC? HIPEC is hypothermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, essentially hot chemotherapy. We perform surgery to remove cancers, and then for some cancers it's indicated to put chemotherapy into the abdomen at the time of surgery to try and minimize the recurrence. Thank you.
