Has HIPEC surgery been shown to improve outcomes from colorectal cancer?

Mr. Murphy, does HIPEC improve outcomes at all? Is there any data to suggest that? There's certainly data to suggest that the type of surgery that goes with HIPEC improves outcomes. There's been a recent trial run in France that demonstrates that HIPEC, or the operation that's associated with HIPEC, can increase survival between three and four-fold. The question of whether hypothermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, the whole chemotherapy added to that surgery, adds some additional benefit is still uncertain. There are some data that suggests it does, some data that suggests it doesn't.
