TAVI experience

Okay, this is Mr. Rickson. He's 91 years old and he had his TAVI yesterday. So, Mr. Rickson, tell us about your experience of the procedure. Well, everything was as I had been told. But, of course, the actual procedure cannot be described in detail that a layman would understand. but tell us about how you experienced it from your side of things well it it was a bit of a struggle but although there is pain the end result is worthwhile and And was the procedure as you expected it to be? Was it worse or better? There was more to it than I thought there would be. Okay. Because I had assumed that it was like an angiogram on a greater, bigger scale. But apparently, that type of intrusion was needed as well, and I wasn't aware of that in the information I had about TAVI. Okay, because you had the procedure under local anaesthetic. Would you have preferred to have had more sedation or had it under general anaesthetic? No, but at the most intense moments, yes. Okay. What was the worst part of the procedure? I think that having endured part of the operation, I mistakenly believed that that was it, but in actual fact, we were only halfway through. Okay. It might be helpful if the staging was explained to a patient. Okay. Fair enough. Was there anything that surprised you in a good way about the procedure?
