Reasons why individuals may not tell family about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

I was in the A&E last February and they phoned up because I've got harm and my younger sister, my older sister on my account, if anything is wrong they phoned them up. going with the phone my young sister and she come down and they told her what was wrong with me and they also told about all my other defects with my body and that's because of the Ehlers-Danlos and she said well what's Ehlers-Danlos and when they told her she couldn't believe it And then a couple of days, I was in there for about five days, and then I left, and she came over to see me. And she said, why haven't you told anybody all this time how seriously ill you are? I said, why? I said, what can you do? We'd be more attentive and caring. I said, but you've got your own life, you've got your own families. I don't want to be a burden for anybody.
