How the Kidney Patients’ Association and health-shared.com can help

David, in terms of the Kidney Patient Association that you're life president of, what sort of support do you give patients from there and in terms of healthshare in this platform that you're kindly making these this content for, how can we collaborate? Okay well essentially the number one objective that we would hope kidney patients understand about our KPA is that if they have problems they can come to us and we will direct them to the right route. It doesn't mean that we always solve their problems because often we find that patients come to us before they've spoken to the lead nurse in their unit and we don't think it's right that we should supersede what a lead nurse or a matron could do, it's better that they go directly to ask their question or raise their concerns, but if they don't have satisfaction from that, come to us and then we will handle that in a different way. The other thing that's really important for the KPA is for us to be well known by not only renal management, but the whole team, all of the senior consultants, all of the senior nursing staff, they need to know us and they need to feel confident that they can come and talk to us about future plans and proposals, ask our ideas about whether we think something is gonna make sense. All of these things which we have built up over a period of time and now I don't think our renal team would want to try and do anything that was important without telling us first. So then how can we share this knowledge with the outside world? Well I think the important thing is, I've been doing it for 20 years and so obviously over the years I've picked up a lot of ways of being able to communicate well with renal teams, with consultants and with nursing staff and And that information, I personally am happy to share with other people that run or are involved in kidney patients because that wealth of knowledge, it's a shame if we can't take it further than just the one hospital where I concentrate on. Absolutely. What we're hoping for is that we can use this platform to share your expertise and your knowledge and your experience much, much more widely. I'm very happy to do that. Thank you.
