Do thoracic aneurysms go away on their own? They don't know once they're there, then they either stay at the same size or they continue to expand. And with aneurysms, when you open them up and you look inside them, they're effectively non biological material. They're often calcified. They're heavily diseased and they're filled with plaque and other kind of nasty material so once they're there they don't really go unless they're surgically repaired. There have been multiple drug trials in the past looking at ways to make the aorta go back to its normal state however none of these have been successful and whilst there are still ongoing trials with this it's not something which as as time goes by that many of us have confidence will end up being a fruitful.
