Who would be the experts in diabetic foot management? So in the UK we've now got a very good at establishing multidisciplinary teams to manage diabetic foot disease. So these are teams consisting of a group of healthcare professionals to manage these problems. Diabetic foot disease cannot be managed by a single professional alone and most centres in the UK now have diabetic foot multidisciplinary teams. These are teams that are set up to deal with this these conditions and usually staffed by a diabetes consultant such as myself, diabetes specialists, podiatrists, there's often also involvement in cast technicians to make casts, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, plastic surgeons and all centres, most centres have a team in place to see people with these kind of problems and it's important that people with a diabetic foot also get in to see that team as soon as possible ideally within one to two working days of the problem first being picked up.
