Chest pain

Feeling chest pain can be caused by a large number of possible causes. When you see your healthcare providers they will work thorough a list of possible causes based on your individual risks and how your pain can be categories. Chest pain can be sudden in onset or something that has come on gradually. It can be different locations depending on its cause. Some causes need urgent attention and others can be managed with less urgency. Due to the concern of missing urgent causes of chest pain, often patients are seen in a 'Rapid Access Chest Pain clinic' setting.
