Length of hospital stay after emergency juxta-renal open aneurysm repair

Dugu, your father had this open surgery for a juxtapositional aneurysm, you know, big cut in the tummy, you know, had lots of risks associated. How long was he in hospital before he was able to go home? Two weeks post and two days in intensive care, just mainly because I think high dependency unit didn't have beds but overall total to two weeks, 14-15 days for surgery. And how soon before he was been able to walk around on his own? He started walking around pretty immediately once he got home because he had to do even stairs to be honest but short periods of time so it was let's say 50 meters first then next day it was 100 meter and then pretty much after two weeks he could do round-the-block walks. When he went home was he able to you know wash himself get dressed that sort stuff? Yes, got tired incredibly quickly, so let's say one activity a day, right, but and every day probably I would say the first 30 days was really tough, one activity a day and then getting stronger pretty much every day. And how long do you think he was back, did he feel that he was back to normal? I would say a good six months. A good six months to get back to where he was before. With gradual improvement?
