How I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis

Hi Kamil, I wanted to ask you, when were you diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and how did you come to be diagnosed? I was diagnosed back in 2001 when I was really unwell. I'd been losing weight, I had diarrhoea and I'd been feeling really, really tired. And the diagnosis came after, I think, a year of seeing different doctors and having different examinations. And how did it eventually click, the diagnosis, who made the diagnosis? I've been seeing a GP a few times and they eventually referred me to a gastroenterologist and they made the diagnosis after doing a colonoscopy. So that was the key, you had the endoscopy test and some biopsies probably. Yes, that's right.
