So good morning, I'm Erika Menegatti from the University of Ferrara. I'm an exercise science specialist so I was recently involved in this particular aquatic exercise protocol for patients with lower lymphedema of venous and lymphatic origin. The aim of the protocol is to counteract venous and lymphatic stasis, enhancing all the physical exercise that promote joint movement of the lower limb and muscular venous pump activation. So this protocol is also useful for those patients that have some comorbidities, such as hypomobility, obesity, or joint issues, and in which land-based exercise is not feasible. So the protocol finds a multiplicity of indication, both therapeutic and preventive, and for this reason we are here to propose our experience with the patients that do this exercise twice a week for five weeks long. So we had a very good result in terms of lower limb volume and ankle range of motion, and the patient feeling of heaviness of lower limb and so in the video we show all tips and tricks of all the exercise protocol.
