I mean, being overweight has a significant bearing in lots of different health factors from sort of mood to general fitness and certainly the back pain, it makes common sense that you're putting a lot of pressure on the lumbar spine because of increased body weight, eventually that's going to cause increased degeneration of the bones and the tendons supporting the structure. And not only that, but if you're less mobile, then you're less likely to do some of the exercises, back strengthening exercises that a physiotherapist would get you to do.
