When should I go to A&E with a wound problem?

You should attend A&E with a wound problem if you are particularly concerned about it. This concern can be either localised to the wound, which may be painful, red, hot, swollen, tender to the touch or may be discharging pus or blood. If you feel unwell having had a wound this may be an indication that you have an infection or if you've been advised by a healthcare professional who has seen you or has spoken to you to attend A&E you should also attend.
