What type of gastric balloons are available?

There are two kinds of gastric balloon available, the traditional system or the newer Lurion system. The traditional system normally requires sedation or anesthesia and an endoscopy to insert the balloon and also to remove the balloon. The newer system can be soldered as a capsule, not requiring any endoscopy or sedation, and also after four months the balloon itself disintegrates and comes out in a natural bowel movement.
