So diabetes, because it's too much sugar being around, glucose, when you have too much glucose around, it leads to glucotoxicity, which leads to axonal degeneration, which essentially means the fat which is around the nerves, and it becomes to degenerate. you begin to lose the sensations of the feet. Clearly they begin with distally first, like on the toes and the fingertips, and then they can gradually develop towards going to the knees or the elbows. And people would experience either not being able to touch but not being able to feel you on the walk, and it can be a silent process.
