Alright, so carb counting would be a means that we use to provide flexibility for an individual who is using insulin. What we would want to do is match the amount of carbohydrate consumed to the insulin provided for that meal. So we try and establish a ratio of how much insulin for how many grams of carbohydrate. So in summary it's the matching between the insulin required for the amount of gram that you need that you are eating per meal.
