What can be expected on the day of my vascular bypass surgery?

So on the day of the bypass, the patient needs to understand that there will be some sort of anesthesia. Usually these interventions are done under general anesthesia or spinal anesthesia. And of course, it depends on the length of the tract that we want to bypass. for example if the bypass is just confined to the thigh or the bypass goes down the knee level the operation can last longer and for example usually it's few hours but operations like this can also take four to five hours if you need to bypass into the foot for example in the vessels at the level of the foot and of course they need to expect to have a scar it depends of course how the bypass is done but usually it could be a scar which goes from the groin down into the to the even low below the knee joint and actually the patient needs to expect to stay a few days in hospital and under the care of the surgeons in order to evaluate how the of course the wound is behaving and how the result is.
