What are the main risk factor of Aortic Dissection?

The main risk factors for aortic section is high blood pressure or hypertension. It is by far the most common cause of aortic section and it's directly related to the disease. More so, fluctuation in blood pressure, meaning if the blood pressure goes way up and then go back to the normal level, or what we call spikes in blood pressure, also is a cause of aortic section. Other causes like genetics and smoking and overall vascular disease could contribute, But by far the most common risk factor or the most well-studied risk factor is hypertension.
