What anaesthetic technique was offered to you?

Anesthetic wise, do you remember anything about being told what kind of anesthetic you were having and anything about the experience? Well yeah, I was told I was having an epidural and I was told that there could be side effects, some sort of strange reactions and believe me I had hallucinations. I, you know, I look back now and I think what on earth was going on. There was a block of my life from the sort of Wednesday when I had the operation to till about Sunday and I have absolutely no idea of what reality was going on at that time. There were weird hallucinations, it was really, you know, I can remember some of them now. I even sent texts to my wife, you know, in the middle of the night and, you know, and they're still on my phone, I can see them, you know, and it, but yeah, it was a really weird, I mean, I knew something like that was possible, but I hadn't quite appreciated how much, maybe, I don't know how exceptional I was in that respect but yeah it was the thing that has left it the biggest impact on me now I think you know I can remember some of the weird things going on there and later I saw one of the nurses who I knew I had been particularly difficult with and I was able to sort of of apologized to him afterwards, you know, and he said, yeah, it happens.
