Very Low Calorie Diets.

Salma Mehar, Consultant Diabetes Dietician, explains that a Very Low Calories diet is a prescription diet which is limited to 800 Calories a day. She explains how these are delivered, often as soups and shakes and also explains that the diet is nutritionally complete. Salma goes on to talk about variations of these diets with have more flexibility and even include vegetables or cereal type bars.
