VATS assisted decortication

This gentleman had a severe lung infection resulting in an abscess forming in the chest cavity. He is Day 4 following VATS assisted decortication. This procedure uses long instruments and a video camera to allow for the abscess cavity to be removed with a small incision in the chest wall.

My experiences of stigma around having Diabetes.

Chris talks movingly about Stigma he has experienced around having Type 1 Diabtes as a young person and later. He tells a story from school where the schools arrangements for him to get his lunch first in the school hall led to painful comments from his class fellows.
