Would you like to start by saying what you've had done today? Well, I've just had a procedure called endovenous ablation, which took about half an hour. On my left leg, my right leg needs the same treatment, but that will probably be done later on. The treatment took about half an hour. It went very well indeed. I had ultrasound and then I had several injections, which I did not find painful. They said it would be like a bee sting. Well, I've had worse bee stings over the years than the injections. And then a probe was put into my vein, which was connected to a computer and that generates heat. So the vein, in effect, was sealed off. And hopefully in the next two weeks I'll see that the leg will be less swollen, my ankle will be less swollen. So the whole procedure went very well indeed, very well indeed, and I had confidence in the doctor and everyone in the whole team. So I'm very pleased with what happened, very good indeed. Would you like to tell us about your experience with it? My experience with it? You mean the swabbing? like from the start of the problem all the way through to leading up to having the procedure done so your experience within that time of knowing that you need to have it done. Oh I've had this swollen legs you mean for several months I went to my doctor I was referred to here and I still need my right leg done because both legs are swollen and both heels and toes are also swollen but my left leg is worse than my right so it was thought to begin with the left leg and I've had no pain actually no pain with the swelling and the procedure here as I say went very well indeed and I'm just recovering now after it. So it's excellent. So I'm hoping within the next two weeks the swelling will go down and in time to come my right leg will be done. Is there anything you'd like to recommend to someone who's going through what you've been through? I recommend no, no I can't recommend anything to be done, no. As I say the procedure took only about half an hour, and I waited longer to come in here than the procedure, to take the procedure, have the procedure done. Now I can't actually say anything, but it's nothing to be worried about. There's various injections, but as I say, they didn't trouble me at all, and it's done under local anaesthetic, so that was fine. And there's ultrasound, which is needed to find that, put the needle and the connection into the vein and then the laser provides the heat which seals off the vein, if I have that right. I hope medically I have that right. Pretty much. Yeah. Is there anything else you'd like to add? Not really, no, no, in a few minutes time I'll go home. I feel fine now, feel fine indeed. No, I can't say I need to add anything. There's nothing to be worried about, nothing to be worried about at all and I'm looking forward to the swelling going down in the next few weeks and then the right leg will sometimes be done in the future. So everything's fine, everything went very well indeed, I'm very pleased.
