Thinking about an Amputation for a Diabetic foot emergency

Well, I was in the hands of the expert. Obviously, it wasn't a course of action that I would want. But having been told what the situation was, I came to accept it and was expecting that to be the way ahead. They told me that they would like to give the heel a second chance. There was a lot of debridlement, is it? Debriding. So really major debriding where they cut flesh away pretty much to the bone. and obviously regular changing of dressings, draining of the fluid and I saw Mr. Jaffa a couple of days ago. He was very pleased with the progress that we'd made and it is now extremely unlikely that we will go the amputation root. I have had one skin graft applied with the possibility of another one in mid-January, although there's a good possibility that that won't be necessary and it is healing extremely well.
