You can keep yourself on track, but clearly the more used to we become to just being still, to being centred, the less likely we are to do unhealthy or unwise things to ourselves. It is a progressive journey, it does become easier. And when one is more settled, more centred, more focused, it is easier to turn that extra piece of chocolate or extra drink or whatever it might be that we know might not be very healthy for us, although most things in moderation are quite healthy. But it will certainly, I think, help cut out excess, excess, the more that we can just learn to be content. I think content is a very important word for mindfulness, a sense of being contained, content, we learn that. And we can also learn that some of our decisions, are unwise actually ruffle us and hurt us and harm us. So it can be important as a device in helping us to recognise what our own interests are.
