Painful Nerve damage with Diabetes.

Dr Prashant Vas, Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist talks about painful diabetic neuropathy. Nerve damage or Diabetic Neuropathy causes numbness and loss of sensation. He explains that pain occurs in 1 in 5 of people with diabetic nerve damage. He says that symptoms are in the feet and possible legs but can also happen in the hands. Sometimes people talk about tingling or burning or cramps pain together with numbness.
