Alright, so I think an important thing is to define a low carbohydrate diet for the individual and that is eating approximately 50 to 130 grams of carbohydrate per day. To To give you an idea, two slices of bread are equivalent to 30 grams of carbohydrate per day. So having, for example, a sandwich breakfast, lunch and dinner would provide approximately 90 grams of carbohydrate per day. So this is where we have a small portion of carbohydrate with each meal and we include proteins, a higher intake of proteins as well as fats with each meal to satisfy hunger as as well as achieve an optimal calorie intake.
