So just a little bit of background, I live in Kenya and at the time of the diagnosis I was working for an international company in Nairobi and as part of that, you know, I had some healthcare benefits, there is no real private healthcare system in Nairobi but anyway, it was part of my terms and conditions of employment. And I'm treated already for kind of raised cholesterol. So I went to get a prescription, repeat prescription. Saw the doctor in the Karen surgery. Karen is one of the suburbs of Nairobi. So the doctor and she said, okay, you better have some more blood tests because it's every year since you had the last ones. she included in that a PSA test to kind of just check on whether there might be any prostate issues. And the result of that was that I had a very high PSA test score, which was I think 18 at the time. So they whizzed me off for an MRI scan within the next couple of days. She referred me to a consultant in the Nairobi hospital, a Kenyan doctor by the name of Robin Mogheri, and what came out of the MRI scan was that yes, there was something suspicious in the prostate, but actually the radiologist spotted that there was an aneurysm, an abdominal aortic aneurysm. So, when I was referred to the urology consultant, Dr. McGarry, he also referred me to a vascular surgeon in the Nairobi hospital and that's essentially how I was diagnosed. That diagnosis took place in January this year, 2021.
