How do you see diabetes being portrayed in popular culture?

And it crops up in storylines on, you know, they try their best every now and again, you know, Coronation Street had somebody developing type one earlier this year. And they handled it quite well at first. But it just never gets mentioned now. And this, this character, teenage girl, age about 17-18. I mean, it's good that she's portrayed as doing fine and getting on with her life but you literally never see her checking her blood, you never see her injecting and that to me is misrepresenting it. It doesn't need to be dramatic, they don't need to have a sort of living her life on the knife edge and fearing being admitted to hospital all the time but they should at least indicate that she can't do anything without thinking about it.
