Health SharedFilmed on 13/01/2016 KK, 53 years old female, suffering from obesity. Few years ago she underwent a Heliogast band as a treatment for obesity. She lost some weight, but started gaining again. Apart from that she did not tolerate band well, was feeling sick and attended few times to Emergency Department. Her medical history includes high blood pressure, depression, ovarian cysts, and removal of the gall bladder laparoscopically (keyhole surgery). She was offered laparoscopic removal of the band and gastric bypass. Before planned procedure underwent psychiatric assessment, which is a part of work up before bariatric procedures. After the procedure she developed chest infection which was treated with antibiotics. Otherwise she recovered reasonably well and started losing weight in a steady fashion.
