This partly may be hospital specific. However, in the case of general vascular surgeons, they're quite well equipped to manage and treat and follow up patients in its entirety. However, there are times where patients may be followed up by hematology if there is a need for longer term anticoagulation, so things like thinning the blood to prevent clots. Or in the case of lymphedema, they might be followed up by very lymphedema specialists. There may be a community nursing component to the procedure that they have. in the case of whether there are wounds involved and wound managements as such. So it is a multi-disciplinary team that looks after patients and so there's a combination of medical, surgical as well as sort of community nursing component to treatment if required.
