Why did you do the carotid endarterectomy operation at this time?

So, the time when my father had a stroke, I'm not sure why the doctor didn't decide at that time to do the surgery, but when we asked after a few weeks, they told us like because already the brain is too much damaged, so there would not help anything. The surgery with or without won't make any difference. It was that time. But because we saw how my father is progressive, like how much he improving himself, we always had one hope, like every single day we were worried that he will get another stroke because he had one of the aorts on his neck it was nearly 80-90% blocked so there was really high risk to get another stroke and we were blessed he didn't get, he had just one stroke for the past two years and when we spoke with his doctor we told him how much my father is improving and the doctor told us like oh maybe we will consider to have a surgery and when I mentioned my mom and my father they say straight away yeah like we're waiting for this as well because that's my father had more risk to have a stroke while he before the surgery than during the surgery if you know what I mean like anything was happening to my father we straight away thought oh does he have another stroke or any little sickness let me check his blood pressure maybe he got another stroke and everything was another stroke another stroke then when the doctor told us like okay let's consider the another surgery we I explained to my father he full understand this one he even said like yes I want to and yeah that was something which is we knew the consequences of the surgery but we knew as well that is something which is we really need him he need this one.
