What are the different options for my replacement lens?

So the implants that we are going to put inside of the eye, they can be classified into two or three different categories. One of them is a monofocal which is the most commonly used one and the power is adjusted to give the patient a very perfect distance vision or a closer vision. The whole implant has only a single power, a single optic, a single power so it can only improve the vision up to a certain distance. Other more advanced implants will be called a multifocal and these same lens have different powers so the same implant in the same eye can give accurate vision and a precise vision across different distances like for example watching the TV and looking at the computer screen and looking at the mobile. That will be possible with a multifocal implant that will not be possible though with a monofocal implant because if we try to focus on a more close object we will need some reading aids. Not every eye is suitable for the multifocal implant and that is something that will be discussed in depth during your casual consultation.
