The sympathetic nervous system and its relation to hyperhidrosis

What is the sympathetic nervous system and what is its relation to hyperhidrosis? The nervous system, the nerves and how they work in the body are separated into the central nervous system and the peripheral, central being in the brain basically and peripheral being in the body. The peripheral nervous system is split into two sections as well. the autonomic nervous system which is sort of automatic in function and deals with your guts and your organs and the skin sweating and you have the motor nervous system and sensory nervous system which are dealing with functions of the body in terms of sensation and muscle power. In terms of the autonomic nervous system that's again broken down into sympathetic and parasympathetic which have generally opposites or opposite effects in terms of effects on the human body. Now the sympathetic nervous system supplies the sweat glands across the body with innervation or nerve supply. So the sympathetic nervous system is the one that you can modulate with either drugs or with surgery for a number of conditions including hyperhidrosis.
