For over-the-counter medications for weight loss, probably the commonest one is Xenical, otherwise known as Alli or Alli. This drug works as an enzyme blocker. There's an enzyme in our intestine called lipase and the Orlistat drug works by blocking this enzyme and this stops the absorption of fat from the gastrointestinal tract.
