What is Heart Failure?

Heart failure is when the heart fails to pump as well as it should do. Usually that's down to two different causes, the first being that the heart muscle is too weak to pump blood around the rest of the body, the second one is that the heart is too stiff to relax enough to accommodate the blood inside the heart and therefore that leads to a back pressure and that itself causes symptoms.
