In some circumstances, when you have heart failure, your ECG, which is an electrical tracing of the heart, may demonstrate that the left ventricle and the right ventricle, the two main chambers in the heart, are not contracting at the same time. That's represented by something called left bundle branch block. When you have left bundle branch block, that can mean that there is desynchrony in the heart. So one side pumps, then after a delay, the other side also pumps.
