Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation

Okay, Ian, hi. Could you tell us about today's procedure? How was your experience? Very good. I found the nursing end doctors explained what was going on and the surgeon kept telling me what was happening during the procedure. Yeah. I found it comforting and yes, very good. Okay, good. Is this the first time you've had this? No, this is my second lens replacement. Okay. So, I sort of knew what was going to happen. You knew anyway. Yes. Right. And is there anything you would like to tell a prospective patient who was going to have the same procedure in the future? Yeah, don't worry. It's very straightforward. There's no pain at all in my experience. And as I say, the doctors explained exactly what's happening as it happens. happened, it was very comforting, there was no worries. I would say go ahead without fear. I didn't have a general anaesthetic, so I didn't go through that side of the procedure, but with eye drops and numbing drops, perfectly fine. Great. And is there anything you experienced which was unexpected? Was it all planned? All that's explained. It's very straightforward. So, overall you're very satisfied? Yeah, yeah, very pleased. Very pleased with all of the last two hours. I'm quite upset. We're probably sitting good. As I say, the staff are excellent. The nursing staff are very caring. Great. Fantastic.
