I think I must have been receiving tests for some other problem or whatever, maybe 20 plus years ago, and I think it was stumbled across during that time. And so I got the good news then that I had signs of diabetes and I was immediately put on a drug regime and other regimes to allow me to understand what I was going to be confronting.

My experiences of stigma around having Diabetes.

Chris talks movingly about Stigma he has experienced around having Type 1 Diabtes as a young person and later. He tells a story from school where the schools arrangements for him to get his lunch first in the school hall led to painful comments from his class fellows.
